New Frontiers
Dear Springer Families,
As we embark on another new school year, few things feel familiar, comfortable, or certain. We have all struggled, to varying degrees, during this unprecedented spring and summer, and our struggles are poised to continue into the fall and perhaps beyond.
But just as these times have been difficult, they have also reminded us of the importance of community, togetherness, selflessness, and being there for one another. The Springer community has come together in amazing ways since we last gathered in the quad to pick our kids up from school in mid-March:
Our parents took on additional jobs as virtual classroom proctors - helping their children get the most out of our emergency virtual curriculum in the Spring.
Our children finished out the year with smiles on their faces, and jumped into our inaugural Summer Scavenger Hunt with both feet - helping local businesses and families in need along the way.
Our teachers adapted their spring curriculums to online learning overnight, and have now worked tirelessly over the summer to revamp those curriculums for even greater success in the fall.
And our principal and staff have done amazing work helping all Springer families, and especially those who are new to Springer, get prepared for the upcoming school year.
The Springer PTA has been hard at work as well. We may not yet know everything this year has in store for us, but we are working hard to make sure that our administration, teachers, parents, and especially our children have the resources they need to be successful in the coming year. We thank you for your patience and support, and we hope you will join us at our virtual PTA meetings throughout the year to let us know how we can do a better job of serving this wonderful community.
Thank you again to all of our wonderful families for all of your support throughout the year. We know these are unusual and trying times, and we are grateful to have such an incredible community backing our school. Springer couldn't be amazing without you!
