EXPO EVENT

All are invited to the the 4th Annual Gingerbread Expo on Tue, Dec 9 5:30-7pm! View the student creations & enjoy some holiday cheer! Prizes will be awarded to students in lower and upper grades and maybe a sibling or group prize. Winners announced at the evening event and officially at the next school assembly. Winning builds will be on display in the school office through Mon, Dec 15. Volunteer to bring holiday treats to share or help setup and clean up the event!

TIMELINE

Building begins November 21. To be included in the Expo, structures must be submitted in the Multi before 8:45am Tue, Dec 9. Students may work on their gingerbread structure at home or in the STEM lab at lunch. Teachers can help with storage space during the build time if needed.

RULES

Build a gingerbread house, village, camper, castle, etc imagined for gingerbread people to live inside. Prizes will be awarded to TK-2nd and 3rd-6th graders for various categories. Decorate, decorate, decorate!

  • Parents should provide supplies and inspiration but NOT help build.

  • Structures must stand on their own.

  • Students can build their structures out of any inedible materials fit for building. Cardboard makes a great gingerbread structure!

  • Decorate, decorate, decorate! The more creative the better! Just no edible materials please.

  • Working in teams and with siblings is encouraged!

  • Again, parents should provide supplies and inspiration but NOT help build.
