Other Ways You Can Support
-
DONATE Directly
Donating to Springer PTA funds the supplies our students use every day. Approximately 35% of donations are used to purchase school essentials like pencils, crayons, notebooks, STEM equipment, construction paper, glue sticks, scissors, sanitizing supplies, PE equipment, library books, printers, art supplies, copy paper, printer toner/ink, and more! Your donation ensures our teachers and students have what they need!
-
ATTEND Community Parties
Like a birthday party where guests donate to a charity in lieu of gifts, community parties raise funds and bring our community together!
Attend community parties for kids, adults, or families hosted by parents and teachers. Get to know other Springer families while your ticket price helps raise funds for Springer PTA.
-
HOST a Community Party
Consider HOSTING! Parties can be for a grade level, a small group of adults or kids, or whole families and the activities can be as simple or elaborate as you wish. Teachers and parents host parties to bring our community together as their gift to the PTA.
If interested in hosting a party, check here for all the details and find inspiring ideas. Movie nights, pool parties, park playdates with ice cream, and anything competitive are always popular.ption goes here
FAQs
How does it work to host a community party?
Discuss with friends and brainstorm party ideas you all would like to host - see past auction catalogs for party ideas or this page for inspiration.
Set a date, a location, how many attendees you intend to invite, and your budget with your host team. The cost of the party is your donation to the PTA. Email auction@springerpta.org for any guidance or to bounce ideas around.
Once you’ve got an idea of the details and a group of hosts, let the auction team know by completing this form: https://forms.gle/DUpfxFXwhGuiPb4KA
The auction team will reach out to make sure your date doesn’t overlap with other competing things and help you set an admission price. That admission price will be paid by your guests and go directly to the PTA as a part of the fundraiser. Typically, kids' parties are $25-30 per child and adult parties are $40-$75 per adult BUT the pricing may vary depending on the scope of the party (cost of alcohol, food, etc).
Please note, as a host you should NOT buy a ticket for your party. We assume you’ll be there!
What happens during the cocktail party?
Guests arrive at the venue, check in and receive a bidder number. We’ll enjoy some much needed connection time with other parents, teachers, and guests while enjoying delicious foods and awesome cocktails. The climax of the event, the LIVE AUCTION, is when you will use your number to bid on items that have been generously donated from businesses, Springer families, Springer teachers and staff, and hopefully even YOU! Bring your bidder number and your game face!
What’s included with the gala ticket?
As a gala guest you’ll enjoy a themed adult night out complete with a cocktail hour while mingling and catching up with good friends or meeting new ones. Dinner & drinks continue as the sun sets and the auction fun begins including items auctioned to the highest bidder, pay-t0-play games, raffles, and door prizes. Think travel packages, school parking spots, sports tickets, unique experiences, and maybe more! If you have something to donate please email auction@springerpta.org.
Why do we host the Parent Gala?
Besides having a fun adult night out with fellow Stinger parents, the proceeds from the parent gala are used by Springer PTA. to host events throughout the year to support our community AND fund library and literature books, math, science, social studies, art and music programs, technological materials, playground equipment AND MORE!
How does the Springer Silent Auction work?
The silent auction is hosted online around the cocktail party. You’ll be able to plan your family’s community party attendance and battle it out for your child’s favorite camp gift certificate all from the comfort of your home! Share the link with grandma for their bidding pleasure!
The cocktail party will include a live auction and a chance to win unique experiences and high profile items for you and your children as well as the coveted reserved parking spots at school!
What kinds of things are in the auction & raffle?
The silent auction usually includes gift certificates or memberships to local attractions, museums, or zoos, gift certificates to camps, kids programs, and other activities, and various Springer priceless experiences like being Principal, PE teacher, teacher or librarian for the day! Other items that could be included are vacation packages, invaluable experiences like throwing the first pitch at the SJ Giants game, lunch with the Principal, and, of course, the coveted reserved Springer parking spots. The Student Raffle usually includes several fun prizes for kids including a popsicle party for their class!
Who do I contact if I have a donation or party idea?
Email auction@springerpta.org. If you have a party idea you’d like to host, submit the details you have so far and we’ll help you figure out the rest. We can even help find additional hosts if needed!
