Still looking to sign your kids or yourself up for a community party or two?

We’ve got you covered! Here’s what you need to do:

  1. Review the list of all parties which remain open

  2. Email the host of the party to ensure availability.  Grade level parties hosted by teachers have capacity for all students in the grade level.  Simply ask your teacher to add your student if time allows.

  3. Once space is confirmed, purchase “ticket”. (ticket price in the sheet from #1) We trust you. You don’t need to send a receipt for the ticket purchase to anyone!

If your family is experiencing financial hardship please contact your teacher or party hosts so your child can attend for free. The ultimate goal is to create connections and fun! Reach out to president@springerpta.org for questions or concerns.

Now, spread the word and invite your friends!

Thank you to all who attended the Gatsby Gala, a night to remember while support poured from our community!

The Springer Auction & Cocktail Party is a themed fundraiser bringing together our parent community to have fun while raising funds for Springer. A night to remember for parents, caregivers, and staff! There’s a fun theme each year & we dress up for a night of dining, dancing, laughing, connecting, and, of course, bidding.

Cocktail parties & auctions aren’t for you? We get it. You can support all the things PTA does for Springer with a simple donation. Don’t forget company matching!

  • Our annual auction event was a cocktail party overlooking the golf course at Michaels at Shoreline on March 18, 2023. We had a rip roaring time! 1920’s costumes were encouraged but not required!

Guests enjoyed cocktails and light bites (think staying full not getting full) while strategizing about live auction bidding plans, battling over silent auction items, and ensuring they were signed up for all the parties their kids wanted to attend!

Most importantly, it was a time for the PTA to say thank you for our community’s generous support throughout the year and spend some time having fun with fellow parents, teachers, and staff!

  • There’s something for EVERYONE in Springer’s silent auction! The silent auction IS OPEN NOW and accessible by all Springer families, grandparents, aunts & uncles, etc! Anyone can register and bid!

    Things you will find there:

    - gift certificates to camps

    - sports & art activities

    - family fun outings

    - fitness & travel

    - behind the scenes experiences

    …AND COMMUNITY PARTIES!!

Parties for adults, families, and kids hosted by our teachers and parent community! Read more about hosting a community party below.

  • Our exciting live auction was the highlight of the Gatsby Gala! We had a ball, tore up the dance floor, and auctioned:

    - the coveted reserved campus parking spots

    - 49ers Club Package

    - First pitch at a San Jose Giants game & VIP experiences

    - THREE Vacation home stays in Pacific Grove, Tahoe, and San Francisco

    - private plane Bay Area tour

…and the support poured out for our Springer library!

You Can Still Get In on the Fun

  • Plan to Attend Next Year!

Watch for the date and mark your calendars next year! Then, hire a sitter for the evening, line up your party crew, and plan your costumes to perfection! Again, costumes are not required but they sure are fun! This year we had flapper dresses, gangsters, bootleggers, and people got creative! You’ll enjoy great company, delicious food, cocktails, and of course, the chance to support Springer by using that bid number!

Watch all the school and teacher newsletters and keep an eye on the Springer Facebook page for details at the beginning of the school year 2023-2024!

If attending isn’t your thing, volunteer to help the volunteer planning team make the magic happen! Email volunteers@springerpta.org to sign up!

  • Sign Up for Community Parties

Like a birthday party where guests donate to a charity in lieu of gifts, community parties raise funds and bring our community together! Parties are for a grade level, a small group of adults or kids, or whole families and the activities can be as simple or elaborate. Teachers and parents host parties to bring our community together as their gift to the PTA. Your “ticket” price is your gift!

After attending, you may be interested in hosting next year! See FAQ below for info on how to host a community party.

  • Give an Auction Item

The sky's the limit on what can be donated as an auction item. Popular examples are tickets to sporting events, a cool piece of tech, a stay at your vacation home or even loaves of your delicious homemade sourdough bread or beer! Experiences are great too! Maybe take a group of 4th graders on a behind the scenes tour of your office, offer up a drive in your souped up sports car, or a wine tasting lunch at your wine club winery.

If you own a business or have a connection to one, gift certificates or free services/products are great money makers for the silent auction.

Get creative and email the auction team with ALL your ideas! We can’t wait to hear from you!

Thank you Springer Community!

FAQs

How does it work to host a community party?

Discuss with friends and brainstorm party ideas you all would like to host - see past auction catalogs for party ideas.

Agree with your host team on some dates, a location, how many attendees you intend to invite, and your budget. The cost of the party is your donation to the PTA. Email auction@springerpta.org for any guidance or to bounce ideas around.

Once you’ve got an idea of the details and a group of hosts, let the auction team know by completing this form: https://forms.gle/DUpfxFXwhGuiPb4KA

The auction team will reach out to make sure your date doesn’t overlap with other competing things and help you set an admission price. That admission price will be paid by your guests and go directly to the PTA as a part of the fundraiser. Typically, kids' parties are $25-30 per child and adult parties are $40-$75 per adult BUT the pricing may vary depending on the scope of the party (cost of alcohol, food, etc).

Please note, as a host you should NOT sign up for your party during the auction. We assume you’ll be there.

What happens during the cocktail party?

Guests arrive at the venue, check in and receive a bidder number. We’ll enjoy some much needed connection time with other parents, teachers, and guests while enjoying delicious foods and awesome cocktails. The climax of the event, the LIVE AUCTION, is when you will use your number to bid on items that have been generously donated from businesses, Springer families, Springer teachers and staff, and hopefully even YOU! Bring your bidder number and your game face!

What’s included with the cocktail party ticket?

As a cocktail party guest you’ll enjoy and 20’s themed night overlooking the golf course. Enjoy cocktails, wine or beer of your choice and heavy appetizers while mingling and catching up with school friends or meeting new ones. As the sun sets, the LIVE AUCTION begins including 8-10 high profile items auctioned to the highest bidder. Think vacation home rental, Principal or Teacher for the Day, jewelry, first pitch at the SJ Giants game, travel packages, school parking spots, sports tickets, unique experiences, and maybe more!

How does the Springer Auction work?

The silent auction is hosted online after cocktail party. You’ll be able to plan your family’s community party attendance and battle it out for your child’s favorite camp gift certificate all from the comfort of your home! Share the link with grandma for their bidding pleasure!

The cocktail party will include a live auction and a chance to win unique experiences for you and your children as well as the coveted reserved parking spots at school!

What kinds of things are in the auction?

The silent auction usually includes gift certificates or memberships to local attractions, museums, or zoos, gift certificates to camps, kids programs, and other activities, and various Springer priceless experiences like being Principal, PE teacher, teacher or librarian for the day! The live auction features time at vacation homes, invaluable experiences like throwing the first pitch at the SJ Giants game, and, of course, the coveted reserved Springer parking spots. We’ll also be raffling several items including a parking spot, lunch with the Principal, and other fun prizes. Everything donated by parents and our local community! THANK YOU!!!

Who do I contact if I have a donation or party idea?

Email auction@springerpta.org. If you have a party idea you’d like to host, submit the details you have so far and we’ll help you figure out the rest. We can even help find additional hosts if needed!
