What is Walkathon? Check out this parent video from 2022! Walkathon is the most fun day of the year as we celebrate our Springer Stinger community! Kids walk laps to earn prizes and medals while parents relax in the shade. The music, food trucks, and bonus laps keep us all going!
During the Walkathon, our students get involved in supporting THEIR school! Parents support their students to reach a goal of $250 in student fundraising. Donations help our PTA fund supplies for PE, art, library, STEM lab and each classroom as well as a music & dance program for TK-3, social emotional learning, lunchtime activities, all our community events, and more! This is great practice in goal setting!
STUDENT FUNDRAISING WILL BEGIN SEPTEMBER 20 AND CLOSE SUNDAY OCTOBER 13!
If you’d rather donate than participate in student fundraising, you can do so HERE. You could also choose to not create a student site and ask friends and family to donate HERE in support of your child’s school.
STUDENT FUNDRAISING
Our STUDENTS get involved in supporting THEIR school. Please help your children create their student fundraising page and share it with your friends and family so they can take pride in supporting Springer.
Collaborate with your child to personalize their page with photos, videos, and their words about their school. This is a chance for our students to set a goal and work toward it. A default goal of $250 per student has been set and you can raise or lower it.
Each student should join their Grade Team to compete for participation rewards.
Once your student’s page is ready, you’ll share it with your family and friends near and far so they can support your child’s school! Remember to send them all photos from Walkathon!

Grade(s) with 100% participation will win a popsicle party!
Grade with the most funds raised will win an extra recess & popsicle party!
VOLUNTEER
PLEASE consider volunteering! We need volunteers to plan in the weeks ahead, the day before, the morning of, during the event, and after to help make it all work.
If you have a Springer Alumni teenager who’d like to volunteer, they can sign up here!

sell candy/toys as a Pocket Person
hand out bandaids and ice packs at the first aid tent
help students register upon arrival
attend the assembly party where we put together the lap cards and medals
watch faces light up when you give them a medal in the end
punch lap cards as kids completed laps
and so much more!
